| 7:32 a.m.-2003-09-28 Okay, so some folks asked me what 'Build-A-Bear Workshop' was. Well...it's cute, that's what it is. Sure, you're gonna pay more than the little 'bear' is worth, but in short, you go in, you pick out an 'empty' bearskin (or rabbit, or lion, or dog, or monkey, or horse, or...), and then you pick out a 'voice' for it (you can even record your own 8 second message), then you pick out a little red stuffed heart, and then you stuff the little guy and sew him up. After that, you get to choose your bear's outfit, and these run the gammut from NBA uniforms to military uniforms, to today's 'hottest' fashions, to traditional stuff like cowboy/cowgirl outfits, and doctor's outfits, and nurse outfits, and the like. The cutest things are the little shoes they make. And hey, each one's unique, because YOU get to make it. Sure, you'll spend $30-$50 bucks, but choose the right set of accessories, and you've got a unique bear to send to a loved one...or keep for yourself. They have 144 locations, and their website is here. So that's what a Build-A-Bear Workshop is. No, I'm not affiliated with them in any way, other than thinking they're kind of cute.
