| 10:58 p.m.-2003-10-13 Okay, so the other night, there was something weird going down on Alki. As far as the ear could hear, a giant 'whump whump whump' sound, sort of like a humongous heart beat. You could SEE the ground rumble, and it was showing up on the seismographs all over town. Kind of neat, huh? A great mistery too, since it stopped at about 1am that morning and everything... I love a mystery. This sounded great. Imagine my great disappointment when it wasn't some Navy conspiracy with their evil, dolphin killing sonar. No, according to the news, it was just a sewer pump, backed up...bummer. It could've been so much more. You know, really, I haven't had a lot to write about lately. It's not that life hasn't been going on, I just haven't had anything interesting to write about. Weird, eh? It's like writer's block, only this is more like 'life block'. There's just...nothing going on...and you know that's true when I write about sewer gas! Bleah. Disappointingly yours, The Captain
