| 6:41 p.m.-2004-04-03 How shall we say this. Hellboy was...good. Yes. Nice special effects, not too cornball, Ron Perlman, bless him, was excellent and sort of hunky in a diabolical way. Other actors were okay, lots of eye candy, and man, I've always dug that whole Indiana Jones, Nazis were trying to rule with world through black magic vibe. So all of that tons of fun. And hey, Hellboy digs kitties. Oh. And nachos. Best quote of the movie: Mmm...Nachos. I thought cabin-boy was gonna die laughing. That said... There was a huge fucking CHUNK of the goddamned (pardon the pun) stinking CLIMAX missing. When we went to the window, they had these big signs up 'there is a flaw in the copy of the film we have'. And we asked and the guy said, "Oh, it's like a minute and a half missing..." No big deal. I mean...a minute and a half of eye candy, no problem. Except the minute and a half that was missing was part of the FUCKING point of the whole movie, which they did NOT tell us at the window. They also claimed at the window that the theatre north of us had a copy that was only missing a few seconds of footage. Well..lemme tell you folks, when you miss how the good guy gets caught, and the bad guy is gloating over their prone forms...that is an assfucking IMPORTANT part of the movie. I PRAY that they actually get a copy asap that has the missing footage. I pray MORE that the damned movie company wasn't dumb enough to have just NOT put that into the movie...that is about the stupidest thing I can imagine...but I can see them doing it. Asswipes. So...if you saw the whole movie, lemme know if the climax made any sense....liking fucking making love, and just skipping the 'moment' it was! Best part of the movie tonight was the nachos. Mmm.
